Grab some Halloween M&M’s and make these super simple 2-step Spider Brownies. Everyone loves the fun colors.
Halloween Brownie Bites
In our neighborhood, Halloween is an entire month of spooky, autumn-themed fun. I always head to Walmart early in the season to stock up for all the fun treats and parties to come.
I’m all about the simple and festive holiday treats, so I made up these 2-step brownies to serve at parties and for Halloween treats all month long. This recipe is so quick and easy, you’ll love it.
INGREDIENTS USED FOR SPIDER BROWNIES:
- ¼ cup frosting (canned or homemade) , (4-5 bright colors)
- 3 doz small brownies
- 1 package M&M’S® Peanut Ghoul’s Mix
HOW TO DECORATE BROWNIES FOR HALLOWEEN:
- Fill piping bags (or sandwich baggies with small hole in the bottom corner) with individual frosting colors.
- Use frosting to attach one M&M’S® candy to make the spider “head”. Add two frosting dots for eyes.
- Use frosting to make 8 skinny legs to complete spider.
- Decorate remaining brownies with different colors of frosting and M&M’S® candies.
- Serve on a Halloween themed platter!!
First, you need a few dozen brownies. You can bake your own but I love recipe shortcuts during the holidays, so I grabbed a fresh pack from the bakery. These cute 2-bite ones are a favorite of mine.
Next, round up 4-5 different colors of frosting—the brighter, the better. You really want the spiders to stand out on the brownie. I highly recommend buying the pre-made cans. That way, the color is just right! I like to contrast the color of the frosting with the M&M’S® candies.
Grab the bag of M&M’S® Peanut Ghoul’s Mix and begin to attach one M&M’S® candy to each brownie with frosting. I used an easy to use piping bag, but a sandwich baggie (with a small hole in the corner) would work just as well.
Next, add the legs. This does not have to be perfect. I think wiggly lines look great for spider legs! Super spooky.
HANDY TOOLS NEEDED TO DECORATE HALLOWEEN BROWNIES:
- piping bag – easy to use, no training necessary, customize for your needs
- decorative platter with skeleton tongs – up your serving game, make dessert look fancier!
And that’s it! Don’t you love all the fun, neon colors? My kids sure love the M&M candy decorations!. Plus they look awesome on a Halloween treat table.
