This apple goat cheese appetizer is exactly the dish for a night of sipping chilled wine and catching up with friends.
You’ll love the crunch of the pecans and apple, combined with the smooth, lightly tart flavor of the goat cheese. And everyone loves a crostini! It all feels very casual and summery.
INGREDIENTS NEEDED TO MAKE THIS APPLE GOAT CHEESE APPETIZER:
- 1 baguette
- 1 green apple, thinly sliced
- 6 oz goat cheese, divided
- 2 tablespoon chopped pecans
- 1 tablespoon honey, for drizzling
DIRECTIONS TO MAKE THIS APPLE GOAT CHEESE APPETIZER:
- Heat oven to 400 degrees.
- Slice baguette into ½ inch pieces and toast in oven for about 5 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool.
- Meanwhile, portion the goat cheese into small balls and roll in chopped pecans. (Chop up whole pecans in food processor if pre-chopped are not available)
- Once crostini (baguette) slices have cooled, add one slice of apple to each, as well as a ball of goat cheese.
- Drizzle with honey and serve!
