Cool off this summer with an Easy 3-Ingredient Orangeade Drink. Refreshing and tasty, it’s the perfect beverage for an end-of-summer celebration.
Orangeade Recipe
We love to have casual backyard get-togethers, especially when the weather is more mild, towards the end of summer. We keep it kid-friendly since all of our friends have young kids. I love to make it easy and effortless, so everyone can relax and have a good time.
One of my favorite party hacks for kid-friendly celebrations is to serve drinks in pitchers. That way you can pre-mix fun drinks and serve them easily to a crowd. Recently, I grabbed Lemon Lime Gatorade and orange juice at the store– my plan was to use these ingredients to make a special, festive orangeade for the kiddos.
INGREDIENTS TO MAKE THIS ORANGEADE RECIPE:
- 1 bottle orange juice, 59 fl oz
- 1 bottle lemonade, about 59 fl oz
- ¼ cup cherry juice
- 1 handful stemmed cherries, optional, for garnish
DIRECTIONS TO MAKE THIS ORANGEADE RECIPE:
- Combine lemonade and orange juice in a large pitcher.
- Pour in cherry juice (will settle to the bottom).
- Serve alongside glasses with ice, garnish with stemmed cherries.
You guys know I love simple, so I keep this drink down to 3 ingredients: Tropicana, lemonade, and a splash of cherry juice. Of course, I finished it off with stemmed cherries for an eye-catching garnish!
To serve, just combine equal parts Tropicana and lemonade in a big pitcher and add a good splash of cherry juice. The red juice will rest on the bottom, making a nice tropical sunset effect. Set some fun glasses (we like mason jars) with ice and colorful straws. Voila – Tropicana cherry juice!
HELPFUL TOOLS TO MAKE ORANGEADE:
- glass pitcher – beautiful pitcher and has a lid for keeping bugs when entertaining outside
- mason jar glasses – handles and lids, which are great for the kiddos!
Kids and parents can pour their own, making it self-serve and super easy for the hosts. By offering crowd-pleasing drink options, like Tropicana and Gatorade, everyone can cool off with an icy beverage that they love.
