You’ll love this fall-inspired Halloween Trail Mix for parties or a fun to-go snack. With pretzels, nuts, raisins, and candy corn (perfect for when you have leftover from Halloween), it’s full of seasonal flavors.

My family loves to snack, so it is very important for me to prepare healthier choices for us. I prefer to make trail mixes for the season because they are so easy to grab and go and provide a “treat” with some better choices.
There are sweets in this recipe, for sure, but also wholesome ingredients like nuts and cereal. You can totally up the nutrition content by using fiber-fortified cereal (great crunch!) and a variety of dried fruit. Sprinkle in a little bit of fall-themed candy, and you’ve got a filling snack that the kids will love!
INGREDIENTS NEEDED:
- crunchy rice cereal
- pretzels
- mixed nuts
- raisins or craisins
- candy corn
HOW TO MAKE TRAIL MIX:
- Gently mix together all ingredients in a large bowl, using a large spoon.
- Keeps for 1 week in an air-tight container.
This recipe is super easy and so versatile. After you have gathered all your ingredients, you can measure it all into a large bowl, mix, and eat. The great thing is that it keeps for a week (or even a few days longer), so you can definitely make larger batches for the whole family to snack on all week.
Sweet or savory– it’s a fun snack that would be a hit at a Halloween bash.
Recipe Tips!
- Try different mix-ins! Dried fruit, nuts, chocolate, or any small Halloween candies would work.
- Drizzle with chocolate or shake in a bag of powdered sugar.
- You could also use this snack mix as a topping for ice cream. Simply put a few cups worth into a baggie and crunch a bit to break down the pretzels into small pieces. Sprinkle on a hot fudge sundae and enjoy!
- If serving at a party, keep all the salty ingredients fresh (and crunchy) by mixing them up beforehand adding the candy corn at the time of serving
