Fry Sauce
I want to add Sriracha to everything. Well, within reason.
But otherwise, everything. I mean, what can go wrong with a sriracha ketchup mayonnaise combination?
Ingredients for Sriracha Dipping Sauce:
- ¼ Cup of Mayo
- 3 Tablespoons of Ketchup
- 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce
- pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar
- ⅛ Teaspoon of Pepper
- Sprinkle of Paprika
Directions for make Sriracha Dipping Sauce:
- Whisk together all ingredients.
- Store in fridge for up to a week.
I discovered it when I was pregnant with Bree. Game. Changer.
It also helped that my tolerance for spicy things has increase exponentially since she came around. What’s up with that?
Pregnancy does strange things to the body. I guess if I have to take on überallergies, then expanding my food palate is a nice trade-off.
Useful tools for making this ketchup sriracha sauce:
Silicone Whisk – scraps the bowl and mixes ingredients at the same time!
Glass nesting bowls – I use these for EVERYTHING! Once you try this sauce you will need to reach for the bigger bowl to make a gallon the second time around.
You could make your own fries for this… but I’m all about convenience when it comes to party food.
Back in high school, my friend Kari and I used pick up curly fries & Jamocha shakes at Arby’s and eat them at the park. We were tough kids, what can I say.
One time, it was cold out so we stayed in the car to chat. There was a forest behind the park and some goons (who probably thought we were parked), set off a bottle rocket behind my car. We. Freaked. Out. Actually I’m not sure there is a strong enough word to describe our overreaction.
I (somehow) flipped on the car, floored the gas- dumping an entire milkshake on the floor of my car- and squealed out of there, which I’m sure was quite entertaining for the pyrotechnic goobers.
It still bothers me to the this day that they got such a reaction out of us.
But it’s also kind of funny.
All this is to say that every time I walk past the Arby’s curly fries in the frozen section of the grocery store, I think about that story. And almost buy the fries.
How amazing would they be with this Sriracha Fry Sauce?! Do it.

So visiting my brother in-law and his family after Christmas, my husband and brother in-law decided they wanted what they called ‘rooster sauce’. So I browsed through some recipes and finally came across this recipe. Everyone LOVED it. It was finished within a couple hours of making it. So the next evening I was asked to make it again but this time they wanted me to add some sweetness along with making it more spicy. So after some debating over what I thought was a perfect recipe I was convinced into add some cayenne pepper (my husband grows these peppers and makes his own smoked cayenne pepper so that seemed reasonable) and sweet relish, which I thought would make it taste like a kicked up tartar sauce but it actually turned out pretty good. What a wonderfully versatile recipe. Thanks so much for sharing it.
