Who doesn’t love a simple, delicious appetizer? It’s the perfect set-up for a casual get together with friends– a plate of apps paired with your favorite bottle of wine.
Just like many of you, it’s back-to-school time in our lives, and we’re craving some downtime this weekend. I’d love to just kick back & relax with friends in the backyard. Easy, effortless… that’s what we’re feeling right now.
And the perfect snack for this chill time? These super simple, yet so flavorful fig and cream cheese topped crackers. I am always intimidated by fig and cream cheese recipes, but trust me, you do not need to be!
INGREDIENTS NEEDED TO MAKE THIS CREAM CHEESE AND FIG JAM APPETIZER:
- 1 package crackers
- 8 oz goat cheese
- 2 oz cream cheese
- ¼ cup fig jam
- 3-4 fresh figs. thinly sliced
- Optional for topping: dried parsley
DIRECTIONS TO MAKE THIS CREAM CHEESE AND FIG JAM APPETIZER:
- Whip up goat cheese and cream cheese until fluffy and well-blended.
- Spread about a ½ Tablespoon of cheese on top of cracker, then top with fig jam and a slice of fig.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
