Easy Spinach and Cheese Dip
I love dips. I love appetizers. And that up there is probably my favorite dip in the whole wide world. There are many different versions, but sometimes classic is best. And I love that I can make it in the slow cooker.
INGREDIENTS NEEDED TO MAKE THIS SPINACH DIP:
- 1 package of spinach (use a bag of fresh or a pack of frozen)
- ½- 13.75 oz can, quartered artichoke hearts (can use full can if desired)
- 8 oz pepper jack (rec. shredding a block of cheese)
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella
- 1 cup greek yogurt
- 1 cup mayo
- 1 cup parm
- ½ tablespoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- Optional: ¼ red pepper, diced, for topping
- Tortilla chips, chopped veggies, crackers, or sliced bread for serving

- Mix up dip ingredients in a large bowl.
- Add ingredients to slow cooker. Cover and cook for 1 hour on high.
- Stir dip to combine. (If not totally melted, check every 5 minutes until done)
- Switch slow cooker to low or off, depending on how long it will be in use.
- Serve with chips, crackers, or bread.
I’m kind of a year-round slow cooker gal. Soups, stews, drinks. pulled pork sandwiches, all make an appearance every month in our house. I love the convenience. And this spinach dip is a “set it & forget it” kind of appetizer. With this crock pot spinach dip no artichoke is to be found in this recipe, just simple and easy dip!
This dip is ideal for parties, like home gating, because it’s so low-maintenance. Add the ingredients to a crock pot, stir it up after a couple hours, and it’s ready. Leave it in the slow cooker and it stays perfectly hot for someone to scoop out a serving.

- Cut pepper jack and cream cheeses into smallish cubes for better melting.
- For creamer dip, omit the mozzarella cheese, and add another 4 oz of cream cheese.
- Add 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper or Tabasco for a spicy kick.
