burger kabobs
My favorite part of warmer weather is grilling out! The food turns out so flavorful and it’s an easy way to cook for a crowd.
I love having a plant-based option for our dinners. Plus, it’s a great choice for kosher families. We top ours with Yellow Mustard.
INGREDIENTS NEEDED TO MAKE BURGER KABOBS:
4 Beyond Meat Beyond Burger patties (2 packages)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 yellow bell pepper, roughly chopped
1 orange (or red) bell pepper, roughly chopped
1 zucchini, chopped
8 slices, cheddar cheese, sliced into quarters (see photo)
1 cup romaine lettuce, torn into pieces
⅓ cup, cherry tomatoes
⅓ cup, Yellow Mustard
HOW TO MAKE BURGER KABOBS:
- Add veggies to long skewers.
- Lay out on a plate or tray and drizzle with olive oil.
- Heat up grill.
- Add Beyond Burgers and veggie skewers to grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Remove items from grill, allow to cool for 5 minutes.
- Slice burgers into quarters.
- Using toothpicks*, add a piece of lettuce, cheese, and cherry tomato to half. To rest of toothpicks, add burgers and veggies.
- Serve alongside Yellow Mustard for dipping.
Skewer your veggies and grill them separately from the burgers. They both take about the same amount of time on the grill.
Tips for Kabobs:
- For grilling, long skewers are best. For serving, try using toothpicks for dipping the kabobs in Yellow Mustard.
- Drizzling olive oil over veggies keeps them from sticking to the grill and gives them extra flavor.
- Try different veggies that your family loves! Beyond Burgers go great with yellow zucchini, onions, or even mushrooms.
handy tools to easily make these burger kabobs:
- serrated knife – slice things without crushing them, sharp, dishwasher safe
- skewers – reusable, no fires from dry sticks, no soaking prior to preparing
