Cream cheese – You need one 8 oz block of cream cheese. Make sure you take it out a few hours before you plan to make this mousse so that it softens up.
Heavy cream – You need 1 cup of heavy whipping cream. This can be found near the milk in most grocery stores. Save the rest for your coffee or other dessert recipes!
Cocoa powder – Use a high quality cocoa powder for this recipe. The better the quality cocoa powder, the better tasting your mousse will turn out.
Vanilla extract – Feel free to use whatever vanilla extract you prefer here. You can even use your own homemade vanilla extract!
Powdered sugar – The powdered sugar helps sweeten the heavy cream. Grab a bag in the baking aisle.
Shaved chocolate – This is for topping the mousse and is optional. You can also top the mousse with fresh strawberries, raspberries or chocolate chips.
