Who has been slow moving in the mornings this summer? We’ve had a few early mornings for camp, but in general we summer to the fullest extent! With school starting, this smoothie is just what you will need to get in a quick, protein filled breakfast while you rush out the door.

This Apple Pie Smoothie can be mixed up in your favorite blender and taken on the go in just a couple minutes. So, while you are fixing those kiddos breakfast, do yourself a favor and whip this up!
Ingredient for Apple Pie Protein Smoothie
- 2 apples, sliced (Honeycrisp work best)
- 1 cup, almond milk
- 1 cup, Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup, vanilla protein powder
- 2 Tbsps, Apple-flavored Syrup (try Torani)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- optional: 1 cup ice for extra cold smoothie
Add your Greek yogurt, protein powder, apple-flavored syrup, almond milk, apples, and cinnamon to the blender. Blend that up for a minute and sprinkle on some crumbled shortbread cookies, because we are fancy people!!
Recipe Tips!
- Honeycrisp apples would best in this recipe. They’re sweet and mellow.
- If you can’t find apple-flavored syrup, try caramel or vanilla
- Try different flavored yogurts to mix it up. Vanilla, maple syrup, or honey

Yes! You can slices up the apples first to make it easier on your blender. Using a high-powered blender helps.
Do you peel apples before blending?
Not necessary, although you’ll want to core the apple and remove the seeds.
Can you freeze apples for smoothies?
Yes! In fact, apples that are frozen and then thawed have an easier texture for blending. Just be sure the thaw the apples first. Overnight in the fridge should work.
